The objective was to compare the religious doctrine on human stem cell research in the faiths of: Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Hinduism, and Buddhism. The method used was the analysis of theology texts. Results showed that Locus = human potentiality, sanctity of life, soul and conceptus, subject vulnerability, cell line ownership, eugenics.
