Abstract
Ta’leem: The Arabic & English Higher Education Periodic Review is a bilingual, multidisciplinary publication born out of a fruitful partnership between the Higher Education Division of Qatar Foundation and the Center for International Higher Education (CIHE) at Boston College. The journal, a platform for peer-reviewed original scholarship and curated articles, promotes dialogue on international higher education with particular emphasis on critical perspectives from and relevant to the Arab world. Rooted in the Arabic term ‘ilm (علم), meaning knowledge, Ta’leem reflects a commitment to advancing contextually-grounded, evidence-based commentary and analysis on trends and challenges with the goal of informing higher education policy and practice in the Gulf, the wider Arab region, and the world.
