Alkadi is a senior nephrology and kidney transplantation consultant and the deputy chief of nephrology at Hamad Medical Corporation. He is also an assistant professor of clinical medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine in Qatar and the editor-in-chief of Qatar Medical Journal. Dr. Alkadi holds a Medical Degree (MD) from Weill Cornell Medical College in Qatar and is American Board-certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology.

Jassim Alsuwaidi, PhD, Hamad Medical Corporation, Doha, Qatar

Jassim Al Suwaidi is the Chief of Scientific, Academic, and Faculty Affairs and Senior Consultant Interventional Cardiologist at Hamad Medical Corporation. He is an accomplished researcher with over 25 years of experience in research and clinical medicine and acts as a mentor to students, residents and fellows. He serves as Professor of Clinical Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College, Qatar, since 2018 and is a former president of the Gulf Heart Association. With over 300 peer-reviewed publications, he has significantly contributed to international cardiology meetings through abstracts, research presentations, and book contributions.

Ibrahim Fawzy is an associate professor in clinical medicine and genetic medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College in New York. Dr. Ibrahim is currently the medical director of Aisha Bint Hamad Al Attiyah Hospital and the ECMO Program Director at Hamad Medical Corporation. Dr. Fawzy is an internationally recognized expert in the field of ECMO, Critical care, aeromedical transport and retrieval, and education.


Stephen Thomas, PhD, Faculty of Medicine, Harvard University, USA

Stephen Thomas trained in Emergency Medicine and Helicopter Emergency Medical Services at East Carolina University in North Carolina. Upon moving to Harvard University in Boston, he worked at Massachusetts General Hospital while completing a Master's in Public Health (Quantitative Methods concentration). After serving as the inaugural professor and chairman of the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Oklahoma, he assisted the State of Qatar in preparing for World Cup hosting through service as the national health service's chairman of emergency medicine. He then returned to Harvard, where he currently serves as a member of the Faculty of Medicine and works clinically with the Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians Department of Emergency Medicine.
