Abstract

Prof. Tayeb Chouiref argues that the message of an author as old as Ghazali, who lived in the eleventh and twelfth centuries AD, can still throw a new light on the problems of the contemporary world and particularly those experienced by the predominantly Muslim societies. In this article, the author explores the ethical and political thought of Ghazali, showing how his teaching always remained rooted and informed by his faith and spiritual intuition of the Absolute.
