Abstract

Many Christians, especially in the United States of America, accept unthinkingly the Zionist mantra that Jerusalem is the exclusive, undivided and eternal capital of the Jewish people. This paper seeks to refute this view and to demonstrate from the Hebrew and Christian scriptures that Jerusalem was always intended to be an inclusive city of peace for all who acknowledge the one true God. Practical steps are also offered for ways in which people of faith can work together to resolve the present conflict.
